How it works

- Individual beam capacity — from the beam capacity chart
- Upright frame capacity — from the frame capacity chart
- Sticker read — the lower of the two limiting factors, adjusted by 0.95 and rounded to the nearest 100 lbs
Important caveats
- Values assume undamaged, plumb racks anchored per manufacturer spec
- Capacities do not include seismic, wind, or lateral load considerations
- Current RMI specifications emphasize system-level design, not static frame tables — use these results as a starting point, not a final answer
- A qualified third-party rack inspection is required for formal capacity certification
